福州紫翅掠鸟的发现THE OCCURRENCE OF A PURPLE-WINGED STARLING IN FOOCHOW

摘要(Abstract)：
<正> 1958年12月15日在福州市郊的高湖乡猎得一只掠鸟,经鉴定后系掠鸟科,掠鸟属的紫翅掠鸟的一个亚种Sturnus vulgaris menzbieri Sharpe(旧称Sturnus vulgaris poltaratskyi Finsch).这种鸟不但在福建是首次发现,就是我国东南各省也未曾记载过.兹将其形态描述如后:性别?,体长143毫米,嘴峯长26毫米,翼长131毫米,跗蹠长31毫长,尾长74毫米.嘴黑而细长,无须;头顶、颈部及胸有反光的紫红羽毛,在颊部的为灰黑色,羽端呈白色鳞状斑点,但在头顶的呈锈黄色斑点;眼先黑色;颏部灰白色;肩间羽至尾上复羽为紫兰色,呈绿色反
